Search Warnts

If the FBI search my safe deposit box, do they legally have to leave me a note letting me know that they searched it? Same question, except with my apartment.
Also, the same questions, but without a search warnt, just confidential informant information given to them to give them probable cause.
Thanks.

They must have a warrant to search your home or sd box. Unless they convince the judge to seal the warrant, you will be notified about the box search. Unfortunately, by the time you get notice you will no longer be able to access the box. The house or apt warrant will be made known to you when they execute it. It its a no-knock type then they can just bust in.
A credible tip is usually enough. It's up to each judge to decide probable cause. If they said they heard this and that, i doubt that would fly but if they said they saw illegal things in person, that could do it. Likewise for the sd box. Rumors are not enough. If the irs requests it they usually get their way. But a cop who just wants to look around needs a lot more. They have to drill those things out.

Thank you so much.
What if a warnt yielded nothing but several informants said I sold them shrooms and it was all on camera, would they most likely drop the charges?

If you sold shrooms to an informant and it is on camera, you'll probably get charged with distribution of a controlled substance.
If they execute a warrant and don't find anything, that is less they can tack on, but they would still have you for sales.
It is very hard to defend a case where an informant buys drugs from you. Since you willingly meet with them and give them drugs, there isn't usually any way out once it gets to court.
Be extremely careful who you sell to. Its best not to sell at all. If you must sell, always strive to reduce the number of people you are dealing with. Try to always sell to dealers in quantity, selling to users is dangerous, annoying and not very profitable.
