my friend grew some pes haw recently and they fruited pretty well, but they all had hollow stems. my question is if pes hawaiian usually has hollow stems. i have read that the cause of this is genetics.
i understand that a cube is a cube.

not all of them. ive researched the hollow stems a bit already, and lots of people get meaty stems while others get completely hollow. and from what i read its genetics.

sometimes the walls of the fruit may be so thick that it may appear that it is not hollow but they all are.

im not talking about not hollow at all. some fruits grow very meaty and have only a small hollow section in the stem.
the pes hawaiin stems were about as close to as hollow as it gets.
if there is a way to controll this, my friend would like to know.

It totally depends. But not only on genetics, but also on environmental conditions and substrate composition. If you want thick, solid and meaty stems reliably grow PE.

I did PF Tek exactly once before moving on to grain bulk grows, as I wasn't impressed with the yield at all. It's not more difficult IMHO, it just takes a bit more equipment and some extra precautions, but it's really not rocket science at all. And you'll never go back to PF cakes ever after.

I love PESH I have grown it many times. Pretty much all cubes have hollow stems. And if you want denser fruits you would have to go and grow PE. You should definitely move to grains or at least use cakes and start spawning them

he wasnt that worryed he was just wondering if pes haw has especially thin stems. if so he would probably want to move on to another strain.
personally he loves pes haw it is the most postent strain he has ever ate. its gaven him better trips than any of the ps. cyanescens that he has aten over the past few years. and he gets alot of them. the trip had amazing visuals.

cooler fruiting temperatures usually produce meater stems as well...its also said that cooler growing temps produce slighter more potent fruits too..

My Hawaiians aren't very hollow, I wouldn't put them high on the scale of density personally Ecuador is the densest I've seen but they aren't terribly hollow.
