Moving on to the qt jars but...
    #1214615 - 01/13/03 12:07 PM (21 years, 2 months ago)

Decide to try qt jars with brown rice today... Went to Canadian Tires and bought the jars, was all excited until I got home and found out that my PC isn't tall enough for the jars :frown:

Only I can fit it in is to lay it side way.  If i cover the lid with foil, and tighten it with rubber band to make sure no water goes in, will it be ok to sterilize it side ways?

My guess is that it'll be fine...

The lids would have to be tight. Is there any chance of the jar exploding or anything?
