This is typical now-a-days.

This reaction to politics. That politics is some con job, and the best thing for humanity would be to abandon politics.

What would that leave us with? Please don't say anarchy. Maybe I've got you wrong. Here's where I'm coming from...

"We are going to be governed whether we like it or not; it is up to us to see to it that we are governed no worse than is absolutely unavoidable. We must therefore concern ourselves with politics, as Pascal said, to mitigate as far as possible the damage done by the madness of or rulers."
-Pierre Elliott Trudeau

Now the reaction that all politicians are on the take has some
validity. Some are...but that don't have to be true. The general notion that leaders are on the take has more validity. Most are.

Take the economic leaders. The ones free from democratic elections. Financiers and the like. Those leaders are in it purely for themselves. They say that is the best way to develop the human race. To enrich themselves.

It is these types of leaders (and they also own the private national news outlets, and quite likely, your electricity supply as well), who advocate the "politics is a con-job" notion. They know all about corupt leadership. For they are the personification of it. They advocate channeling all that discontent into hatred towards the only democratically accountable power structure in existence. THE DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT! Which also happens to be their biggest threat, if the people ever wake up that is...

Yes they fear the wrath of the masses, those corrupt leaders...it's coming. That's inevitable.

Our system has replaced the dictator with beaurocracy! You have a system telling people how to feel and think instead of an individual! You would have to be blind not to see it.It is not the fault of our founders ,God rest their souls, They tried to gaurd against it.

There will always be authorities amonst men.

Any group, whether it be a nation, a workplace, a school, a secret society, whatever, has rules both written and/or implied that membership in the group requires kept.

The assertation of pure individualism is an illusion. This revealed truth must be celebrated and nutured in order to blossom.

In other words, why fight it. We exist in systems as well as individually. In every way.

I disagree. This is corporate america.Politics and buisness go hand in hand. And all news reports are filtered through the white house.Corporations like disney do own news outlets, like abc. That is correct.I do not see these corporate elite discouraging people from voting! As a matter of fact, They encourage it with total coverage. These people would suffer most if our way of gov. failed.

We may alway have a neccesity for authorities in society but the structure in which we organise can change.

The founder of Visa has a good take on it as shown in this article.
