According to TMC, .10 grams of 60-80%gentamycin sulfate should be added to each liter of media prior to strerilization. Where do you get the gentamycin? Have not seen it for sale, except already in a media mix that is sold by Fungi Perfecti. Would like to try it myself, if I could find a supplier.

You can get Gentacmycin Sulphate or Streptomycin at any scientific or lab supply store. Alternatively if you know a doctor or someone who works in a hospital, these are pretty common antibiotics. You don't really need this in your agar unless you are having serious problems with contams. Even TMC advises against it unless absolutely neccesary. Clean your tools/work area properly and you won't have problems. Anyway, I'd be interested to know how it works with some contaminated mycelium.
