 Terrarium setup

I was planning on buying some items to fix up a terrarium today, but thought id check up with you guys first. I was thinking about the following setup:
Some questions:
1. The bubler i have is quite big ( i think) its 5 cm in diameter (2 inch) and pumps 1.5 L air in a minute. Is this allright to use?
2. Assuming I wanted to go with cakes would the bubler provide enough humidity or would I have to use perlite as well?
3. Does it matter where the filter (for the outgoing air) is placed?
4. Is a dripshield needed?
5. What type of heater should i buy?
Well, thats it Hope someone can help me out with some of these questions

1) Yes that bubbler will be alright to use
2)That would depend on the size of your terrarium, and how humid the bubbler makes it. The only way to find out is through trial and error. Myself I use perlite without a bubbler and get good results.
3)If you're going to go through the trouble of putting in a filter you might as well put it on the side of the terrarium down low to allow C02 to escape.
4)The dripshield once again is a matter of trial and error. If drops form on the lid and fall on your cakes then make a dripshield. If not don't
5) To initiate pinning you need a drop in tempurature so unless your room is freezing or you are growing outdoors you don't need the heater.
When I first started to grow cakes I used a 5 gallon bucket with a hole cut in the lid which I covered with saran wrap. I filled the bottom with wet perlite and just fanned it 3 times a day. My cakes then came out just as good as my cakes do now with a cool mist humidifier and timers it's just that now I can grow more and be lazier about it.

For incubating I'd recomend a nice 100 watt submersible heater. But u might want to think about makeing the incubator seperate from the grow chamber as jars colonize at different times so some won't be fully colonized by the time u want to initiate pinning in others and also it's always nice to be able to have another set of jars colonizing while you're pinning and fruiting a set so you can have a steady supply of mushroomy goodness instead of having to wait.

i would also recomend that the filter be made at the bottom as co2 is heavy and falls quick to the floor..

i just got a 100 watt one nut im sure 75 will be fine. the only thing with mine is i am cncerned that the heating within the water will be uneven given the i will have to put the heater somewhere in the bottom of the water. would i have trouble with it being warmer neer the heater and colder ferther away? if so i will hook up a water pump for better circulation, but i would like to avoid the trouble of a water pump if pissible.

, well if it is possible try to completely cover the unit with water (say, 1 inch above the top). In that case there's nothing to worry about.

Drilling holes in the terrarium can work well for air exchange, but I really think it's unnessecary. Fanning by hand is sure-fire

Wouldn't that leave room for airborn contaminants?
Does filtering the complete fruiting chamber actually adds up to a better sterility or is all the effort invane? thnx

I have found that the water tends to distribute heat pretty well, and the difference in temperatures is really pretty minor. Just be sure to measure the temperature inside the chamber (not in the water) and adjust your heater according to that measurement. A water pump is unnecessary.
