Fuck yeah. That tree is amazing Burke.

Thanks man. I like it too. I have another cherry tree and a pretty nice flowering dogwood that's in bloom ATM, but that one is my favorite.

Thanks!
Here's the dogwood, with another cherry tree behind it.

Dogwood flower:

I'll post about this because it's about a flower. I just got done working in the yard, using a tool called a "dandelion digger". As you guys know, dandelions are a nuisance because you can't just pluck them. The digger gets out the whole big long tap root. It's time consuming, but I was able to vanquish dandelions in my yard without introducing chemicals to the environment. Here's a whole dandelion:

There's nothing in the pic for scale, but that root is probably 8" long.

Pelecyphora strobiliformis (syn. Encephalocarpus) and its pup both in flower today.

You can also see lots of sprouts that have self-seeded around Mama - this species throws them up like weeds.

Lots of lantana growing wild here - Lantana bandera so called because of its red and yellow flowers - same as the Spanish flag.

that is a very common plant, we get all sorts. mostly the red and orange, but also the trailing purple lantana, hate the smell of those when cut

to each his own I guess, oleanders are another common plant you find in a lot of counties. Not a big fan of those either, I don't care about them being poisonous just don't like getting the sap all over me when trimming a large one. I guess i'm getting a bit of topic, i'm going on my four day annual birthday camping trip tomorrow should have some flower pics when I get back Monday night.
