What do the buds look like? I'd guess some type of poppy

It has been a while since i don't hit the EG. probably because i am forced to stay far away from my beloved plants. I am currently in Sicily for easter holydays and i managed to snap some pics of the few flowers. not much intresting things, i just wanted to pass by and say Hi.

That's why it's called gladiatus. Gladio is the name of the short sword of gladiators. But you already knew that probably.
