For such an awkward an unassuming specimen, it sure puts on a show. I don't know how many times I've gone outside today just to see them.

Pelecyphora strobiliformis is easily my most prolific species - here are a few of the specimens that had accumulated, taken last May.

I have given a stack of them away to good homes since then.

-------------------- One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. 'Which road do I take?' she asked. 'Where do you want to go?' was his response. 'I don't know', Alice answered. 'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

People tend to say they have low viability when they are not fresh. I think yours are still ok since kept in the fridge. Idk though.

Ohhh pretty flowers!!! I have nothing blooming right now sadly, lots of papaver somniferum pictures but on my old phone which apple decided I no longer need access to.
I do have this though, the picture is from the mother in laws plant. No idea what its called but it produces the most wonderful smelling night blooming flowers. I hope ours matures up and blooms soon!
