My first time growing a Dahlia
-------------------- One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. 'Which road do I take?' she asked. 'Where do you want to go?' was his response. 'I don't know', Alice answered. 'Then', said the cat, 'it doesn't matter.'

Here are a couple, I snapped this morning. I may have posted some images of this before, but. . this was my great grandmother's favorite rose variety: Joseph's Coat of Many Colors. Or, (Joseph's Coat).
This rose has much sentimental value and the canes/shrub, is about as old as I am. Pictures do not do the flowers justice. they are in shades of sunset colors, of pinks and peach, and reds and orange. If people were to grow a rose, for cut flower.. I would suggest this variety. I hope you all enjoy it too.
from the city of roses.. . Kizatz.

***upon further review, i think the original is much better, im gonna make some prints for my wall if anyone would be interested in one me

Thanks!
I got lucky. There was just the right amount of fog on lens from the 98% humidity at the time to give it that look. I had to reduce the color saturation a bit in PP, or it would have looked overdone.

Your unknown flower from a tree way out in the woods is Cephalanthus occidentalis aka. "Button bush".

Sup guys.
I got some Resurrection Lily action here. I dug these bulbs up from my parents' old place in May, transplanted them down to my house. I only knew they were some kind of lily. I was all bummed when the foliage died off a couple weeks later, just figured they didn't take. The other plants in that island took over, and I forgot about the lilies. But yesterday I noticed some odd flowers in the middle of it all and asked my mom about it.
She told me that these lilies make the foliage in the spring, then it dies off. In the summer, the bulb then sends out a single, bare, leafless stalk that makes these purplish pink lilies. Resurrection lilies. Pretty cool IMO.

Here's a crappy pic of the whole island. In front is a mountain of lemon balm. To the right of that are tomatillos. Under the tomatillos is cilantro. In the back with the fuzzy white flowers is a jungle of mixed mints.

Awesome! Never heard of a Resurrection Lilly. Properly named, it seems.
What zone are you in, if you don't mind my asking? I'm curious up to what grow zone that Lemon Balm is perennial.
