Nice blooms ferrel_human!
I went out in the garden in search of flowers and I'm sad to say I have none at the moment, unless you want some scruffy looking roses.

The plant itself does little for me but well worth having around for when it flowers and yeah, the smell doesn't travel which is nice.
Have you seen how large the seed pods get? They are at least twice the size of the flower. Amazing!

They're the ones, nice pendulous growth on that plant. The pods open up and release heaps of fluffy seed that gets carried away in the wind.

It's a succulent and I hadn't thought about donating seed but now that you have mentioned it I will when the time comes.

Just let it go to seed then, you'll get a lot from one pod. You can always de-seed and keep the pods for when you have some down time from work.

Couple of flowers from the garden.
This one I thought was patchouli but now I'm not so sure. The leaves and flowers are covered in some sort of trichomes and it smells a lot like skunk #1. People always ask me if you can smoke it because it smells so much the same.
And a Schlumbergera....

Nah haven't tried smoking it. It's a ground cover sort of plant and goes well in places where it will be brushed against or kicked like on the side of a path, I find this is a good way to get the smell happening. If it ever bares seed you will be the first to know!

They're pretty rad and I think it could be an Amaryllis although I really don't know.

Chopping the flowers increases nicotine production in the leaf, so doesn't increase yield only alkaloids.

Yeah you can mail rose plants, just make sure they're dormant before you do it and have an established root system. Wrap up the roots before you post them and they will be fine. Use semi-hardwood cuttings and take them during the Fall. Dip in a rooting hormone, not mandatory but will increase your strike rate. Put the cuttings in a coarse sand mix or other free draining propagation mix, keep moist and in a few months they should start throwing out roots.

Here's another Schlumbergia that is flowering at the moment. Looks very much the same as Mikeyyork's one.

when i got this the flowers were dead. then it rained and the fruits came out.
not even remotely flower related but pretty cool none the less. does anyone know when i can harvest the seeds?
Wait until the fruit starts to shrivel I would guess. This seems to be the time where the plant stops seed development IME.
