I met a guy at a party recently who did the whole sovereign citizen thing.
What I took away from the conversation is that it is a total pain in the ass.
You may be in the right, legally, but they will still throw you in jail and try to charge you a ton of fees.
When he described his legal troubles vs. what he was able to get away with, I got the impression that it isn't worth it.
Unless your time is worth about $1 per hour.

Hell no, it doesn't work! All this does is piss off the judge for having to wade through the insane mumbo jumbo bullshit that nobody believes unless they are completely insane. I've seen it done in real estate where people try to get out of paying their mortgage. They ALWAYS end up losing the house and sometimes end up in prison for fraud. Don't do it.
