GrowKits - my experiences

So far all my efforts have involved grow kits pre-innoculated with mycelium, I've bought a couple of these from my local headshop (?25 a pop) and I've been very impressed with the results.
Now the instructions reckon if your really lucky you'll get 3 flushes out of 'em but I'm happy to report after the third flush, if you rehydrate the substrate with a little distilled water, you can easily get another three flushes - I'm currently on my eighth flush from one kit (approx - 35g dry weight). The last couple of flushes came about after I'd thought the kit was spent and not bothered to pack the tank away - I went into my spare room and lo and behold the kit had started fruiting again, the heater went back on and a week later I was harvesting again!

I gotta admit, some grow kits have amazing yields for close to no money. They are mainly for people who don't feel like messing with mycology supplies. Is your grow kit any specific brand or does the headshop have a site?

No specific branding, all I know is that they're imported from Holland
King Bong is the website if you're interested.

Sorry! My mistake - it's a .com, not .co.uk
http://www.kingbong.com
This one should work

The Kingbong kit is where I started with 'shrooms. The kits are OK, although growing your own is much more rewarding

yep kits are a good idea if you don't have time to do the hard parts.
I started with a old homestead kit. It did pretty good for the first try. Then I was hooked
Now I do my own thing but the kit was a gr8t teaching aid.
