interesting.......what are emotions? experiments have been performed on plants whereby one plant in a room full of the same plants was subjected the leaves being poked and stroked?! when a plant is touchd it responds to the touch, millions of tiny hair like things move, not sure how. all the other plants in the room exhibited the same response at the same time without being touched. emotion is not just experienced by one person, but nearly everybody. if there was no word such as anger or happiness would there be emotions? would we still experience the chemical physiological experience? does the word alone create an emotion? with direct observation free from the 'mind' then there may be no emotion what so ever as emotions are the product of 'mind'.

happiness and anger are said to be both emotions. joy is the endless not bound by emotion.

i think words are cheap labels for our in-depth emotions... But I guess they get the job done.
I guess the question is, is the emotion any less real without a brain processing it?

ya know, sometimes when you're talking to someone or walking along, you get little "hiccups" where there's a burst of static or blip in your mind, most of us call it deja vu.  What it actually is is the fourth dimension intruding into third dimensional space, only our mind is so shocked by the mindboggling terrorof the meaning of the existance of the fourth dimension, or whatever it sees, it won't let us proccess the immediate appearance of this 4D (matter?entity?) so it rejects the information, rewinds to what you were just doing and you continue on your merry way with your subconsious huddling in the corner tembling.

I think all that exists is simply consciousness, or thought. Matter is made of consciousness, everything. The mind of god. If the universe as one entity is the mind of god, then due to the holographic nature of the universe, then everything that has been, is, and will be also exists in every one of our minds.  :grin:

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

considering the dream state

what if dreaming happend backwards.
the end of your dream happend as soon as you fell asleep
the begining of your dream happend right before you woke up.

but you were unable to tell the diference when awake
and when asleep unable to comunicate this awareness of backwards receptivity to your wake concious

what if dreaming had no sequence of events that were happening at all

rather when you awoke out of this "state" of being your continueing forward intuition asighned a pattern to the random moments aserting a story line to comprehend and "grasp"

thus making it all seem like it happend between the time frame you "went to sleep" and "woke up"

but really, it never happend in any time frame at all.
or even happend At all.


lucid dreams?

what if you were able to asighn this state of conciousness to your asleep mind in order to create a basis for creating anything. even non creative possibilites of a need to create. thus again, making a themed frame of events happening from point a to b. in any particular fashion you chose..

Perhaps we do not exprience the 'BIG SLEEP' so to speak when we die. Even in our deepest of sleep our synapes are not detached or all over the wall, they are simply being inhibited by some sort of Unknown(?) process in the brain. What if this is the only process that can make us experience NON-consciousness and the process involved in neuron death is a different experience alltogther? Perhaps, the reason why we experience no consciousness during anesthesia isnt because of the lack of neuron comunication but because of the perception of the chemicals that are involved in inhibition.
