Okay, who here can post some crazy thought/concept/idea/claim/fact/,etc. about anything in life, that they don't think anyone else knows, or has thought about??? I want this thread to be a nexus of brand new ideas. I know someone's been hiding some away in their brains somewheres....
I'll start off with one...
I have this theory somewhere in history, the idea of 'good vs. evil' videogames were conceived for the purpose of letting a kid know that life was about finding your 'path' and conquering your 'demons'. Like there were just some really caring acidhead lead programmers and designers that just sat around and thought about how they wanted to give the game that magical feeling of 'making progress in unknown territory', to give kids hope to press on in their struggles as they grew up. Sort of like some positive subliminal energy.... Ha ha! Weee heee heehehehalj12312

There have been same strange incidents with people under hypnosis, who could suddenly rememeber the most incredible details from their childhood. (Yeah, Swami, but not in this thread.) There are not enough neural connections in the human brain to save everything one has ever percieved. So I figured out that, somewhere, there exists a whole universe, roughly the size of ours, filled with one giant slimy mass of neurons, transdimensionally attached to your brain - sort of like an external hard drive, where you save all the memories you do not need. When you die, your external hard drive gets attached to another human being, who is just born. If it has not been properly formatted, you will remember incidents from a past live.
Have to lurk again for some time. I've got a shitload of work to do, and this forum is too damn addictive.

Yes I was really high when I posted this... But I regret NOTHING!
See I can't think of anything 'original' right now. My brain feels like a rusty conveyor belt. I need inspiration. More people should reply with their nonsensical jibbery and pass on the cup of crazy juice.
Lately this forum seems to have been getting too logical and true/false-ish anyways

I thought this thread was refreshing as well but I did wonder what prompted it.

Taking a more (albeit not) reality grounded approach to you idea of the "external hard drive," maybe our brain compresses old memories to increase storage space, and there are ways to decompress these memories through hypnotism and psychadelics.

Are you guys posting theories or what? Okay, #6 was Grav's schizophrenic idea that his mind is a rusty conveyor belt, #7 was mad Mr Mushrooms insane theory that this thread is refreshing, #8 was stonedfish's brain-melting rant that the mind compresses memories, #9 was Adamist giggling of madness as he offers us the theory that the universe is a brain. Here's #10.
Rebirth is a well established scientific fact. A friend's father (yeah, really) once had a panic attack while travelling in the mountains, and he later found out that he had been killed there in a former life.
But what about arachnophobia, the fear of spiders? What must have happened to us in a former life, that so many of us are so irrationally frightened of these funny little creatures?
Well, another well established scientific fact is the existence of human - like civilizations on other planets. And now consider that there is this huge, dark planet in a distant galaxy. A lot of us have been reborn there in a former life. But this planet is not like our peaceful blue little orb... on this planet, frightened groups of humans cower in the darkness of a shallow cave, as the spider mum approaches to gather food for her offspring... stomp... stomp... STOMP. This place is inhabited by tree - sized spiders, and it offers a myriad of cruel deaths for humans. Some are ripped to pieces by the smaller ones, others are swallowed whole or get caught in the devilish web of a larger creature, which approaches to inject her poisonous liquid into your body, painfully dissolving your inner organs. Bad karma. Ever wondered why the typical alien in your typical horror movie is so insect - like? That's why. We are all traumatized from a former life.
You know those people who have absolutely no fear of spiders? Who don't even find them disgusting? We all know them. They keep tarantulas in their living room and always rant about the beautiful golden hairs on their beast's too many legs. And now, here comes the heavy part...
[Nomad shivers, and, with a paranoid glance behind his back, he leans closer toward you... lowering his voice as his eyes widen in sheer terror...]
Those people were reborn on that planet, too. But not as humans, no... they were... they were... SPIDERS!!!!!
[Nomad screams and runs away]

I'll throw this thread alone if I have to.
Or maybe I should drink less coffee.

When you come up with a new association between two concepts, what happens in your brain is that there is an actual synaptic junction formed between two formerly unrelated neurons. Now, take two random concepts. Form an association. Take two different concepts. Repeat for the next 50 years. Slowly, more and more synaptic junctions are added to your brain. When you have made an association between every two concepts in your mind, your brain has reached the maximum neural density. Then, continue. As new synapses are added where there is no space for them, they will, oh so slowly, merge... seperate neurons will grow into each other, ceasing to exist individually, while your brain dissolves into one big solid mass. Where, before, you were only able to think two - dimensionally, individual thoughts travelling along individual nerve cells, you will now gain the capacity to think THREE - DIMENSIONALLY, in curves and shapes and spheres ...

this idea was inspired by E_D's Life themes thread.
In the defense of non-sentient life:
When we feel emotions, isn't the brain just sort of a medium to get to a certain chemical reaction. Why do we assume that reaction can't be arrived at without the brain? in other words why can't plants feel it.. how do we know what their chemicals mean? Do they hold memories, or feel love and hate?
When we get right down to it, isn't everything in life just some cells bouncing around?

this is like what exactly ive been using to help traverse different "plains" within my mind, certain peaceful moments of existence that ive felt through my life. whatever i think about right then i store for memory, a random thought stored to decode other sectors of misunderstanding . take in all the worst/highest points in your life and you will be pretty close to seeing your subconcious. it often feels like your merging two worlds. taking the chaos from the dream world and replacing fleeting subconcious thought with realities definition, while replacing realities somewhat conformist view of perception with the dream infinite ability to traverse time and space and different dimensions of thought and what not. i think there is way too much information to begin for me anyway to trime and form something concrete out of this. like a fact of action or something, it seems more of just like a process, a chemical reaction more than anything else and the elements involved im still trying to understand.
with each thought see the infinite matrix behind that thought, seperate yourself from the duality of a single instance. move on to the next frame of direct perceptional awarness, see the matrix. take the matrix and connect the points. sooner or later what "you" are will come to be with all that is. its much easier in pictures, to damn bad we cant have like a thought screen or something i could post a "pic" of how it dimensionally looks to me. i dont know if anyone else kind of views things like this but i thought i would post it. i like this thread .
