it's insane because the blame is on us as much as or probably more than it is on anyone else (think about it, who is more responsible, the person who's indoctrinated and does what they believe is right, or the person who knows what is wrong but does not repair it?) and yet as far as i know, really none of us has the slightest goddamn clue how to do anything about it
people are materialistic, accept orders and suggestions from authority, believe that the status of abstract entities like "nations" have some concrete reflection on their personal lives, etcetera etcetera etcetera -- how the fuck can any of that be changed? best answer i can think of is "art" but jesus dude i ain't an artist i don't know how to open anyone's mind

the government is a manifestation of the mass psyche destroy the current government without changing the mass psyche, and things are only likely to get worse
"no problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness which created it"

Just look at the french revolution, failures I say!
However, if our consciousness can remain one which "don't take no shit" We surely will have evolved
or live under a dictatorship

"the government is a manifestation of the mass psyche"
i disagree.
Are you implying that democracy actually works? or that the USA is truly democratic? or that public opinion is not controlled or influenced? and so on...
Destroying the government would dramatically change mass psyche.
I totally agree with you otherwise though. Ultimately, Hearts and minds must be won, And all efforts to do so in a way that actually effectively changes government should be exhausted before violent revolt.
But even winning hearts and minds may not be enough to overthrow a really corrupt government.
People 200 years ago had so much more of a backbone to stand up for liberty and freedom, sadly i feel that these beliefs are dying out to willing subservience among the people as long as they are kept "safe."

this is not a functioning democracy, but people accept what we have
if it were destroyed, people would only recreate the same kind of system
the problem they'd perceive would only be "our government went away, we need to build it again" that is totally different from perceiving the problem of "this government is horrible and needs to be replaced"

I agree...
I guess perceptions must be changed then... Control of mass media would be a good place to start.
