Yeh just as easy to grow, they just took longer to pin than normal cubes. Dunno how well theyll perform off cakes tho.
The differences I have noticed, besides the obvious, they are very strongly attached to the subs surface. Blue gills upon damage also looks cool.

I'm doing 3 cakes of AA+ and PFA each, so far the AA+ is a much faster colonizer, one of them is beating all of my burma jars to completion, and the other 2 at about the same spot as the burmas right now. Can't wait to fruit in a couple weeks.

I'd love to hear if you notice any potency difference one way or another.

I have a thread for my grow, but nothing really exciting is happening with it, so it's not getting bumped. Things are moving along quite well, no contams at all, and only one problem child (an extremely slow colonizing PFA, 2 injection points' mycelium JUST met a couple days ago, with 2 other points still not touching anything, and inoculation was over 5 and a half weeks ago). Here's a link if you want to keep an eye on it.

The story is being told as we speak.
18 gal... cant wait.

Totally agree the pinning and colonisation, from agar was a tad slow as first but picked up speed.
I dunno if i can share these as they are not ready yet, they seem to be dropping spores, Im not 100%, it might be reflection off the foil. Im gonna milk the caps over 48+ hours to maximise the chance of a good print.
I also had to make two sets of transfers to isolate, one of the isolates seemed to hate agar, it would just go fluffy, grow SOOO slowly and then go all 'matted' never seen anything like it before.
