Ron haviv has been one of my most favorite photographers for a long time, his pictures are very spiritual. I find real photography to be more spiritually inclined then trippy paintings and what not. Its amazing what kind of emotion you can seduce just by capturing a moment in time.

 The Tigers, a Serbian paramilitary group, kick the dying bodies of the first Muslims to be killed in the war in Bosnia. Spring 1992.

 rocket attack in croatia

james nachtway is also a very intense photographer;

 famine is the most horrible manmade weapon of mass destruction
 heroin rehab center in pakistan

"I have been a witness, and these pictures are
my testimony. The events I have recorded should
not be forgotten and must not be repeated."

I would not say those are spiritual pictures. Ya... famine and hardships happen all over the world, but thats just the way the world is, look at animals... survival of the fittest. Not going to even imagine how hard it must be for those people (Im drunk By the way sooo...) they were born into that existence nothing i can do about it. But i truly believe that if someone is smart enough or has enough willpower a person can "change their stars". meaning they can leave the place where there is no food and fucking find some, or they can stay in their current situation and starve, obviously if they are young kids then perhaps they lack the maturity or the self reliance to save themselves... otherwise...

what in the fuck, first off all look up the definition of spiritual, second of all are you even aware of something called man made famine? this isnt a case of kids not having enough munchies in the pantry. These are chaotic gov't's controlling the entire food supply of an entire country/countries, happened in soviet ukraine where over 2.6 million people died due to starvation, a product of fucked up trade policies thanks to joseph stalin, which is up for debate, and is irrelevant. Sudan is the most well known atrocity, there many people to blame for these things, its not just an act of drought or some kind of natural disaster.
