I remember it well. He sure could spin a tale don't you agree?
I was sad when I came to believe it was not much more than that. I'm a broken hearted true believer Markos. I'm still open to possibility of course but raw faith eludes me now. To much cognitive dissidence between what I see and those great stories in all the books.

Well, I remember those early trips, looking for "power spots," and running drunk down dangerous gullies, terminating in a suicide cliff that overlooked NYC, doing the "gait of power," fingers curled under, straight-legged like the Tibetan Lung-Gompas he took the idea from.Reading Casteneda along with lots of other occultism became a game - where did he get this from? I read about the witch's pointed hat in Man, Myth and Magic that came out in the early 70s. It was from Mexico, and Casteneda picked up on it and said that was what "allies" looked like when one "sees" them with the astral vision. C.W. Leadbeater's turn of the century book The Astral Plane first described the luminous egg. Yoga brought out the Manipura [Manipu-lation] chakra or "gap." There was lots of creative borrowing. But magick and mysticism took off from there for me, and I still fly with it. Still haven't seen the Flying Spaghetti Monster yet!

I did. And quit calling me Luke, I'm Mark.
