Hi ISh,

At that time in the picture Tim and I were on the faculty of the Gathering of the Minds Symposium at Chapman University in Orange County, Calfornia.

Tim and I both lectured there with j. ott, paul Stamets and many other speakers including Gartz and McKenna and abot fifty more.

Organized by Ron Piper of Psychedelic Illuminations magazine.

Tim had a very acute case of sinility in that he left a package of my published papers and photos in the conference hall and eventually got them one year after the leture. I must say though that I met Tim on several oterh ocassions before that picture was taken. USe o have a beautiful albumn filed with photos of mushrom pioneers and me from the sxties on and they were stolen in Amstedam and were irrepl;acable images.

MJ is a living legend.  EVERYONE NEEDS TO FIND 5 HOURS TO KILL AND CAN GO THRU HIS SITES.  ... legend I tells yah!

ps my first post on the shroomery in about a year and under a new nick.  still looks great folks!  I was saddened to hear about Ripper.  He went out of his way to show a newbie a few things, and I remember him.  shroomery members aside, we all need to be more careful, because it could happen to any of us.  We all hear of celebrities who die from overdoses, and they said it was a "lethal concoction of cocaine, pain killers, alcohol and marijuana' ... jeez i know i've been on all of those before, maybe not at once but i could have been !! 
moderation is the key.  peace folks!

What a load of shit.  I read through the thread of everyone talking about how terrible it was and how everyone feels bad, and I felt for everyone.  But when I read that, I almost cried.  What a lack of compassion.  You buggers do everything in your power to educate and help people out.  And I imagine its a full-time job.  Who doesnt need to feed themselves ??  Products don't get pushed down anyone's throats here.  "create and illusion of caring ..."  who the fuck is he to say such a thing.  If it was my friend who had died, and someone put a comment like that in response ..."i would out hunting some ass right now" . 
I say to you captains,  don't let what he said get to you.  What a busybody prick.  A man like Brandon will do whatever a man like Brandon wants to whenever a man like Brandon wants to.  Thats the meaning of the word freedom.  If I die from cancer from smoking cigarettes, are my parents going to go to the corner store and tell the owner he should feel responsible ?  OMG i'm pissed.  sorry for rambling folks. .. just my 2 cents on the matter.
