I believe you're supposed to wrap it in tinfoil to prevent the THC from evaporating. Other than that, your temperature is higher than most recipies I've seen.

The firecrackers I've made have gotten me floored, but I use like 3 grams of pot.

yeah, usually with the shitty around-town shit you need quite a bit.
If it's dank then you probably only need .5-1g.
Oh and I never use the natural stuff, I just use what I got. Didn't even use graham crackers last time, just use tostitos or whatever.

Fasting might help immensely. I was just thinking of why my two firecracker experiences failed and I believe my stomach was somewhat full in both instances. Perhaps a single day with a very light amount of food then eat them mid day the next day without any food.

You'd be surprised that the average everyday toker for even over a decade doesn't really know anything at all about the substance they are using.
I have found even most dealers out there don't know squat about the shit they are selling. Most of them are complete fools.

You have to use a bit (a BIT) more weed in an edible to really get off, but when you do get off on an edible it is lightyears past anything a bong or a vaporizer could do.
Also, everyone should eat natural peanut butter, all the time. I hope this experience has taught you a lesson OP.
Oh my God, I envy you... to taste natural peanut butter for the first time...

Lol the tinfoil is so the peanutbutter doesn't just ooze out and fall to the bottom of the oven.
I've been smoking pot for 4-5 and have known about firecrackers since my amateur days but I still haven't gotten around to making one! I'm just too frugal to take the chance and possibly wasting a gram of weed.

I'm going to go get some real peanut butter tonight. I want to see WTF you guys are talking about with this natural peanut butter. Sounds good. I usually just make it with jiffy and I guess that's why I've been getting mixed results.

THC *does* evaporate though, and the higher the temperature, the faster it'll evaporate. At 320, it'll be evaporating quite quickly. I always figured that's why the tinfoil was there.
To the OP, I found this chart:

At 200°C (392°F) THC boils. Clear vapor from a vaporizer.
Really, you don't have to go much higher than 122F if you want to make a firecracker. Even though THC boils at 392F, it can evaporate way below that temperature. Just as water evaporates far below 212F.

I've gotten absurdly baked off of small amounts
of cannabis cooked into butter/olive oil.
Waaaay kinder than smoking.
However, I have never had a successful Firecracker.
I use natural pb, wrap in foil, and have used about
every heat recommendation I've seen online.
Is it just incredibly weak compared to "real" edibles?

That's how I usually do it. I fry it in olive oil, and a tablespoon gets you BAKED. I put it on everything. Drip some on a sandwich, fry some onions and spinach in it, put it in a veggie fajita etc. Great to change up your edibles.

I use a double boiler. It's probably not necessary, but it prevents too much heat from reaching any one area at a time. I make sure I'm under 250F, and heat it for about 30 minutes, then I strain it through a coffee filter.
Really, you can use butter instead, like most people. You can use it in the same way: frying onions, putting on sandwiches etc. I prefer to stay away from animal products though, so I use olive oil instead.
