Best way to remove casing material from mushies

I used a coir casing and after the mushies were harvested I noticed that a good amount of the casing material had stuck to the base of the shroom. What is the best way to remove it. I rem. seeing someone say that they used a toothbrush to brush it off but I haven't had any luck with that method. Any other sugestions?

Just wait until it dries, and then you can remove it by rubbing your fingers over it gently.

I dry them and then just use a toothbrush.

it`s way easier just leaving them to dry first. Then I gnerally just rub whatever is left on the mushrooms with my fingers to remove it.

Some people like a fresh shroom better. I usually just scrape off with a toothbrush,knife,fingernail... whatevers laying around.
When im lazy I just cut a quarter inch off the end.

buy a mushroom brush. They are specifically designed to clean without bruising.

This is the way I've heard. Use fingernail or a HANDY scapel to lossen the skin under the debri, and peel it off. Using a brush after they have been dried is probably better and less wastful.
