*explination of microwave tek please*

Hey I was just wondering if anyone could explain in full detail how to do the microwave tek. I am really interested in knowing if u need to put tin foil on when u sterizlie in the microwave.

you could try it but you would prolly shut it off in a sec, tin foil doesnt do too well in a microwave.

this gives all the details i know about :crazy:

but i do know, you can't put metal in a microwave .unless you want to burn it up :grin:
i tried it once, a friend was moving, he didn't won't to take it with him and the thing was too gross for me to wanna clean it. so we took it outside, put a beer can in it, turned it on, and stepped back and watched the lightening show .
it was cool :cool:

when u sterilize casing layers and such and even small amounts of bulk substrate in the microwave u cover them with seran wrap with holes poked in it and tape the seran wrap down. this way to let a little bit of steam out and u don't have to be precise on water content. although im sure bulk substrates will be alot more picky when it comes to water content than say casing layers. but thats how i do it for my casing layers and it works well unless you want to do a large amount and then u need to do multiple runs in the microwave and wait for it to cool :frown:
