My Story
    #1205288 - 01/09/03 08:01 PM (15 years, 1 month ago)

A friend of mine wanted to sell AMT to people, he gave it to them, they liked it, he sold it... AMT is legal for research purposes, but illegal for human consumption. This friend of mine asked for a ride to meet up with some friend of his, so we drove to a public store and walked to meet them...I didnt know what was going on, but they exchanged money for AMT. These pills fall under the analog act and are illegal. After that we left...Later that week we get a call from those people and they wantt a large number, and my friend makes some calls... It semms those people are undercover, so he calls them back and says "no i dont do that shit anymore." Well now its 4 weeks later and i got cops at my door...They got my tag # and got my info. They already knew who he was and wanted me to give them his address, and some info on his drug dealing...Well i dont know these things, but i cooperated the best i can. They kept telling me i could be in jail but they have been on his ass for months, and want him, and that i asnt part of the deal, they knew iw as just driving and didnt want to drag me into it. I was on scene durring the transaction, so im a bit scared. Another thing is...they asked me where he got this stuff from, i shrugged it off..but he got it from me...to an extent. I used my paypal account/my credit card to order it for him(he gave me cash) and it was sent to His name @ his address... legally. Does that put me in a bind? Also does being on the scene mean im in trouble? The cops seemed to be nice to me, but they often lie to get what they want. This guy is in jail right now, and I told the cops that i was leaving the state to move in 4 days so i wouldnt be around to do anything, and asked if that was a problem.. They said no, go ahead and move, if they need anything it will most likely be a statement oveer the phone, and thats it. Do you think I have much to worry about? I wanna do the right thing, but stay out of trouble too. The friend of mine is in jail at the moment, they arrested him this morning,.

1. Clean up.  Get rid of anything illegal.  Drugs, child porn  etc...  If you're actually moving out of state, then this should be easy.

2. Deny the charges on your charge card.  The only link that the cops will have (after your friend rats you out) will be that you supplied him with AMT.  You should call up your credit card company and deny the charges to the chemical company.  Basically stating that you never made the charge.  This is VERY easy to do.  Credit card fraud happens all the time, and if the shipping and billing address were different in your order, it will easily work.  You have 90 days from the time of purchase to protest a charge made on a card.    If things do get serious, you just turn and say, "My friend took my card and he must have charged it".

2. If this guy is a friend of yours, once your out of the state, never talk to the cops in your hometown again.  If they want a statement, have them (the cops) get it from someone else.  If you're out of state, then for them to come after you they need to obtain aproval from the state that you're moving to in order to come after you.  Its called a jurisdiction.  Cops from Pennsylvania can't just go into Ohio looking for people.    Plus if they only need you for a statement, they won't even bother.  Also, if your friend finds out that you're the one who gave a statement to the cops, well...  watch your back

4. Didn't your mom ever tell you not to buy drugs.... especially for other people with a credit card?

Good Luck

Exactly, and as said before, get rid of anything illegal, whether it be physical posessions or something on your computer.

I had a cop try to break out my back taillight on his way to the drivers side window. Amazing how low some people will go.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

"I would rather be exposed to the inconveniencies attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it." - Thomas Jefferson
