Leave 'em in the jars. An extra few days definitely won't hurt and will most likely help (I leave them 1 week)

They sound like they'll be fine left alone. Like andmyc I was told to keep them in the jar an extra week after you see myc everywhere

thats what i do when i go out of town with fully colonized cakes. only three days though, wont hurt them any if they start pinning in the jar. plus like adam said, you should let your cake sit for a week after its fully colonized

Putting them in the fridge will accomplish nothing.
If they're fully colonized they won't rot, and if they're cubes don't need any cold shock.
After mine are colonized I put them in my FC in their jars for a week to consolidate.

If they're colder the process is slowed so if you want to slow it putting them in the fridge sounds like it would help. However, in my ( not expert) Opinion it's not worth the effort they'll be fine.

it accomplishes slowing them down. if i have fully colonized cakes and i have to go out of town suddenly for a week and a half or 2 weeks for work then i put them in the fridge. that way they dont pin in the jars and become a mess by the time i get home.

He didn't say 1.5 or 2 weeks. He said they'd been colonized for 4 days and is going out of town for a few more. It seems highly unlikely that they'd start pinning in that time, but it seems likely that putting them in the fridge would halt any extra benefit from being in the jars for a few more days

I was under the impression they were about to be pinning seeing as he was about to birth them? Thus putting them in the fridge would halt growth. Not to mention if they start forming pins before the dunk and roll he has to scrape them off wasting myc energy. And I was just giving him another option.
Amirite?

your right, as i put in the post before, you should leave them in the jars for a week after they colonized. if he is only leaving for a couple days then they will be fine. must of misread the length of time he was gonna be gone. sorry

Couple days won't hurt.

What one person receives without working for another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for that my dear friend is the beginning of the end of any nation.
