depends in which stage, if the spores sit in a heated mailbox for too long, the heat may kill all the spores, if you have to leave them after they are birthed, you will missing being able to spray them (if you are spraying them) or fanning them (to get rid of the CO2) you might wana look into some ways around this...(have a friend get the mail etc.)

I don't hae the same problem but I do have a solution. In my terrium I have a hole on the side that a air pump tube enters. One of those long bubbler stones underneith the perlite. Along with some H2O2.

Now I haven't opened the cover for about 7 days and all cakes are pinning, growning, producing decent amounts. (One cake suprised me it seems like it is drying out but 9babys are growing at a good pace.)

Just get a good setup and a couple timers to have the whole thing automated. And before you leave for work check and take all fully grown fungus out.
