Info on first LIGHT DOSE trip?

Hey all,

I've been reading up on shrooms lately, I'm planning on trying them soon for the first time. Problem is, in all my research, they tell all the effects if you do a full dose, followed by "for your first trip don't do a full dose, just eat 3 or 4." Well yeah, but what can I expect in terms of effects from that? How long will it last?

I'd also like to mention that I'm buying through one of my best friends in the world, I trust him quite a bit. So of course I'm talking to him about this as well, but I want as many opinions as possible. I'm a little nervous, a little excited, and eager to get started! Thanks.

The problem is that everybody is different.  Some people can take 1g dry their first time out and hit full on trip.  Other people can take 1g dry and feel almost nothing.  To make things even worse, some people have no problem with a full blown trip while others will freak on almost no trip it all.

Read the above links and be ready for anything in between.  If you trip low, chill out and enjoy some music, etc... If you trip high, well, hang on until the ride comes to a complete stop and remember that it will all be over soon.

Most importanly, don't get too concerned about it.  You will be a little nervous because it is a new experience... this is normal.  Just be, and let the winds take you where they will... enjoy the ride where ever it should take you.  :smile:

Well, nevermind. I gave my friend the money, and two hours later changed my mind, just asked him to get me some weed instead.

I just don't think I'm ready. I keep hearing about possible effects LONG after (2 weeks +), and I just don't dig that. My friend confirmed that he's still feeling different right now, and it's been 6 days since he had any. (He described the text rolling into itself when he was trying to type a paper on his computer last night).

For the record, I'm 16, 17 in 10 days. Just because I figured someone would ask.

I appreciate the advice, but I've just decided that I'm not gonna do this, at least not yet.

What you did was a actually more mature action than I would expect out of a 17 year old. Shrooms are something not to be taken lightly and if you felt that you were not ready than you probably made the right decision.
