likely to be.
anyway its funny how you talk about them like people used to talk about gypsies or jews.
Right dude?
It's hard to believe that people on this forum who all have hobbies that fall under such scrutiny in our culture are also the ones to judge "scene" girls, or to pass judgement on anyone for that matter
is everyone a hypocrite? what is taboo?

I think there's one characteristic of scene girls that seems to be missed by some people here who are asking what emo and scene mean....
Scene = drug scene (if you really couldn't figure that out).
Scene chicks are hot, emo chicks are lame. In highschool the scene chicks gave me p00n 2 years before the "popular" chicks decided to start spreading em

Me_Roy said: Can someone please tell me what 'scene' these people belong to? Please don't just say Emo. I know what Emo is -- or at least used to be -- and it was a fairly raw kind of music with little to do with this kind of glam (I'm thinking of bands like God's Reflex, Rainer Maria, etc.).
Is this what Fallout Boy fans look like? Is this what the 'rocker'-types in L.A. now wear? What subculture is this, exactly?
Or is this a purely virtual Myspace/Facebook 'scene'?
You did not just seriously say that emo is "raw". Facepalm. scene kids=emo=fags. I think they got tired of being called "emo" (because everyone knows emos are retarded) so now they call themselves scenekids. They still act all dark, gloomy and depressed. Yet at the same time they put glitter, sparkles and rainbows all over everything while listening to Panic! at the disco, Avenged Sevenfold and HIM.
Thanks for the info on the bands these people might like, but I don't think you understood me. Emo as I knew it was (indeed) RAW melodic punk played by small bands in the Midwest during the late 1990s. No make-up was involved. No gloomyness, either. No Goth or glam influence whatsoever.
I'm not saying that these people are raw -- I'm saying the opposite of that.

You are definitely right about the Fallout Boy thing. High School scene/emo kids eat that shit up. I guess sometimes it depends on your age and where your from. It was when I was in High School in TX 4 years ago that emo kids started appearing. I had never heard the word emo used in the 90s, but like I said, maybe it depends on your geography and age. Either way, I concur good sir, emo is the exact opposite of raw!

They want to experiment with various species, substrates, and fruiting environments. They'll work twice as hard for a ten percent gain, just for the love of perfection. Yeah, I think we're talking across a generation gap. I write about these young ladies like some weird Other because I've never actually seen one in real life. I don't want to persecute them, but I would like to admire their colorful plumage and learn more about them. Not Jews and Gypsies, more like tropical fish and parrots on Animal Planet.
Behold their elaborate mating ritual! Wonders of nature!
