i like a 1:3 spawn ratio. 1 brick of coir will give you 10 qrts of substrate. I add coffee at 10% (so 1 quart) and verm at about 30% (so 3 quarts) but that when i have 4 quarts of spawn. so just do the math on you're scale.

Sounds good ur only one pint of grain ahead of me, I'm thinking smallest brick coir 2 pints (1qt) coffee and 6 pints (3qts) verm.. usually I use ten pints (5qts) grain but lost 3, this grain is from october we will see what happens

I use:
80% Coir 15% Verm 5% Coffee
Works great to me, and colonizes fast.
I've seen trusted clutivators recommend:
50% coir 45% verm 5% coffee
A common spawn/sub ratio is about 1:2

There's no set amount of water to use when hydrating the coir is there?

About a gallon per brick, or whatever it says on the package. You would think you would need to add more for the verm, but it doesn't work like that.

It's perfect. Use it as-is. Unless it's drippy?
