Spores to Lc
    #12044838 - 02/17/10 03:05 AM (14 years, 10 months ago)

I have a couple tiny prints of ATL#7 and Jalisco and want to keep them alive so i made a syringe of them each and now want to inject some of the spores into a lc. I was wondering how many cc's you guys would use with this process? thanks.

Use the turbinado sugar tek...amazing and foolproof...220ml water to 5gs of sugar, give or take

Sorry and for a quart jar, I use 660ml of water and 4 x 3.5g packets, then 3cc's of LC

None. You start spores on agar. If you really want to do it this way you inject 1/2cc to 1cc. More spores= more of a chance for contamination.

i swiped some of these spores on agar on the 5th of feb. and they're not doing anything. So i thought i'd try this.

I have no problems scraping spores straight to grain.

Sometimes it can take 14 days. A week to three weeks seems normal. Im sure you'll get mycelium soon. The only time I didn't get germination, was when the print was several years old. Newer spores germinate faster.

ya they're in syringes now. i have a little bit left of the prints but not much. not sure what to do if the agar doesnt take off and the spores strait to lc won't work. and the lc will be 500 ml's
