My fruits just wont mature

These pictures here are about as far as maturing my guys have gotten to so far before drying out. They always dry out or abort early. Humidity gets to be 91% at the lowest. These cakes are in regular perlite fruiting chamber. Check out the pictures.

You dunk the cakes before putting them in the fruiting chamber I'm assuming correct? Either way it shouldn't dry out that intense. Perhaps your hygrometer is inaccurate?
Do you have holes on all 6 sides of the fruiting chamber? Every 2 inches or so?
Also how thick do you have your moist perlite? Are you misting your cakes directly?

Def low on the RH wayyyyyyyyyyyy low, You need 4-5 inches of perlite and holes on all 6 side.

I've heard that digital hygrometers are inaccurate in a FC environment.

I'm assuming that's the case, I'm also assuming that it has to do with this FC. It looks tiny, like a shoebox. Probably not enough perlite and enough airflow to keep humidity up, you would need far more holes for a FC that size (I just barely noticed in the 3rd picture how small it is). Also shotgun FC's need to be raised off of surfaces so there is airflow underneath them, I don't know if this one is or not...

Are you sure when your making your cakes that your using the correct amount of water? What size holes are you using on your lid? Are you dunking after birthing your cakes?

I dunked and rolled. I have holes in my chamber like that, yes. The perlite is only about 3 inches deep though. Misting about 3 times daily and fanning right after. I spray above the cakes and let the mist fall.

Get 2 more inches of perlite in there and I recommend Misting cakes directly. Also how long has that cake been in that FC for. Some times if they take along time to pin a second dunk should be done

Alright. I should definitely get some more perlite in there for sure. My fruiting chamber doesnt have holes in the bottom though. Is this pretty important? It has holes on all the sides but not the bottom.

Holes in the bottom are REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY important why would you skip out on those. Man I dont get why people find the need to leave out the bottom holes . It like why follow the SG tek 95% and not go for the whole 100%

Yeah, and make sure you lift it off the surface it's on, it needs airflow from underneath, so that the water can evaporate off the perlite and into the air of your fruiting chamber.

Dry cakes, coupled with over-misting and insufficient air exchange will give that look every time. You need more fresh air, a proper hygrometer you can calibrate, proper lighting and a misting schedule that allows the fruits to dry out slightly between misting sessions. RR

Whats your opinion of a proper misting schedule?

Basically you just need to develop your own schedule that works perfectly for your FC that "allows the fruits to dry out slightly between misting sessions."

Yeah. I was just wondering how long it usually takes for cakes to dry out between misting.
