how many qts is it? bags need longer i would go with 2 hrs at the least. make sure to prep them a little on the dry side.

Dope, I'll take both your word for it and go for my first trial run...

Would an ordinary Safeway bag melt in the PC? I was thinking of using it as a cradle so I don't have to worry about breaking the bag

See now there's my problem...it's a long bag and I can't fold it up or anything, to it's pretty difficult to keep it away from the sides, nearly impossible actually, what would you suggest?

The mixture is straight peat and verm at a tiny bit drier than field.

just heat up some water to 180 degrees. mix itto field compasity with your casing, and let it sit overnight. or until room temp. then use it.

If I keep this big bag of now useless(for now) casing, without pasturizing or anything, will it start to contam or become bacterial before i can use it in about a week?
