rh humidity in room a factor?
    #1204249 - 01/09/03 12:38 PM (21 years, 1 month ago)

ok, using shroomgod's humidification tek, a friend got about 80% RH. I know this will probly sound retarded, but when using shroomgod's humidification tek, does the RH in the room affect the results(his RH is about 25-35)? I ASSUME it does, if this is so, does anyone have any suggestions to bump this number up a bit. I think I'm going to tell him to get a regualr humidifier for the room to bump the RH in the room up to 60-70. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I regulate intake filter thickness (layers of poly batting) to adjust terrarium RH. From my trial and error I have found that adding more thickness increases static pressure and reduces airflow. The slower air does not dry out the chamber as much and the RH goes up.

(I am using a coolmist humidifier)
