You can buy spore filled syringes of various types of cubensis, paneleous and others, at any online vendor, not just the ones the Shroomery supports, although it's not a bad idea, this being your first grow. range from around $15-$25 bucks per syringe and you can get bulk discounts. I like Spores101.com, personally

i always rinse whether it be corn, wbs or pasta, i even laid them out on a table and fan dried them, i dunno just doesnt work for me. well also forgot to mention second time around was in a mean green contaminated area, first time i fucked uped on sterility i think. but still always had moisture excess, with corn the kernels are huge, excess water is visible, less colonization points but simpler for me i guess.
to each his own, now i switched places so the corn should have no problems, was stuck for 6 months in the contammed place, tried everything, the place is shroom hell !!!

Sorry about the misrep there, I just know I like them and haven't tried any other vendors yet.
DON'T RINSE! If you feel you need to rinse off excess starch or gypsum or something, then boil a large pot of water, and dunk your whole strainer into the pot of regular boiling water for another 2 minutes and swish to remove the crap. This way you won't lose the boiling temps in your grains and they will evaporate all the excess water they need to, before you pack your jars. Make sure you tumble them every few minutes to let steam escape really well and you should get perfect grains.

as long as it is legal on your area to have spores for microscopic use they will ship to you, and im pretty sure aussie's can legally buy spores..

i disagree you want to rinse the starches off your grains otherwise they will clump together after you PC them take a look at my wbs tek http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11525679
and i believe they will not ship syringes to AUS

Australia # Psilocine and psilocybine are illegal to possess or sell under the Criminal Code Act of 1995 (CCA). We have received a report that harvested psilocybin-containing mushrooms are considered illegal "preperations" throughout Australia, and growing psilocybin mushrooms consitutes "manufacturing illegal drugs" and carries even higher penalties. (thanks Torsten) The mushrooms themselves are subject to specific controls in some states or territories.
"Any plant of the genus Psilocybe" is restricted under the "Border controlled plant" provisions of the CCA (see section 314.5 of the Criminal Code). This makes Psilocbye mushrooms illegal to import and export, and illegal to possess if they have been imported. We have received an unconfirmed report that it is possible to import or export of psilocybin mushroom spore prints for purposes of microscopy, though this technically may be a violation of the CCA (thanks A Moffett). (updated Apr 2008)

I use the method: Rinse thoroughly until water runs clear > Soak in coffee and gypsum for 24h > Rinse > Re-add coffee and gypsum > Boil for 10 minutes > Strain > Boiling water rinse > Strain and shake until completely dry on the outside > Pack and PC at 15psi for 70-90min > Perfect, rolling, not soggy or dry grains.
With this method I can do any mixture of grains that I like and every kernel has perfect moisture content and has a nice dry shell.
