Who says shrooms dont have long term effects

Before I did shrooms I read that they didnt have any long term effects unless you really abused them. I figured that it would be alright to do them occasionally. Well looks like they did have some long term effects on me. My speach isn't the same. Now i say things the wrong way. instead of saying a sentence the propper way i want to say it, I will screw up the words or reverse the order. Its fucking pissing me off. This has been happening for about 4 or 5 months, and that is when i did shrooms for the first time. Also my memory isnt as sharp and if im trying to say something that im thinking, it wont come out properly or at all. What the fuck is going on. did the shrooms effect my brain permenently?

I don't say shrooms don't have long-term effects. However, I also say Television and Coffee have long-term effects as well.

Are you sure they were real mushrooms, and not laced?
Mushrooms have very little long term effects. They don't damage the brain. Mabye you have HPPD?

The mushrooms werent laced. I have no damn clue how you would lace mushrooms anyway. I doubt I have HDDP because im not seeing shit in tracers and shit and im not depressed. Its just that my memory is not as strong and my speach is messed up sometimes.

Lacing mushrooms is easy.
Buy grocery mushrooms. Cut them up so they resemble psilocybes. Dip them in a solution of PCP or any other orally active chemical. Dry them.

interesting, but never the less that wasnt the case. My mushroom dealer is king of shroom knowledge and also a really good friend. They also had the blue and purple bruises coming out of them. Im 100% sure they were real, and not to mention amazing. I was in a different world for hours.

If you ever did DXM, that shit will do that to you. The brain damage is usually temporary. After I did DXM for the first time(out of the 2 times i did it) i had those exact same symptoms. THey went away after like 2 or 3 months though.

I have never noticed any side effects from weed or shrooms, but DXM definitely did some damage. I couldn't type properly for months and I felt fucked the whole next day, last time I did it (I usually don't get hangovers from anything). I hope I'm never stupid enough to do it again.

I don't think doing DXM one time would produce any damage, well maybe if you did like 2 grams... and then I'm not even sure. But when you start using DXM regularly, in my (personal) experience, you are asking for trouble. That shit definitly took it's toll on me and it was NOT cool. Nowhere near worth it either.
And yeah... the thing the next day is called an afterglow in case you didn't know, and it is a part of the experience. Everyone has it, unless you took a very light dose, it's normal. But I agree with you the afterglow fuckin sucks... I don't like waking up and being reminded of the DXM I used the night before... if shrooms had an afterglow that would be different... but that's because shrooms don't make you feel messed up like DXM does.
You couldn't type properly for months? Shit dude.... how much did you use? I've never heard of that happening, and I used to frequent the Dextroverse. I probably used like 25-30 grams of DXM, and I was not myself again until about 4 months after that, and even now I am always reminded of my DXM days because I still get minor hallucinations while sober and especially while high. I have to admit that's pretty chill but apart from that I can't say I'd recommend DXM to anyone.
It pisses me off that there are lots of sites on the internet glorifying DXM use.
You may ask why the long post for something stupid as DXM, but that shit is nothing to fuck with and I don't want anyone to learn that the hard way like I did.
Peace!

One things for certain buddy, it ain't the mushrooms. If you're having serious problems you need to get yourself to the doctors for a brain scan.

> Isn't that like, dyslexia or whatever? Maybe it's not the shrooms...
I suffer from dyslexia, and what you describe about speaking i also suffer from (and always have, including writing and spelling), also I have a poor memory (which is another common symptom of dyslexia). Best get your self to a shrink to get diagnosed ... I got extra time in my exams and a free computer when i went to uni
PS. I'd say I'm very intelligent even though I have dyslexia and to be honest it does not affect my professional life badly, infact I would say it helps. BTW Einstein was dyslexic .
Lastly weed has effected my short term memory, ie. during high school I smoked ALOT of weed (and hardly any other drugs) and since then it's been worse than what it was before.

It wouldnt be the weed. I know people who have smoked 20 joints a day for ten years and their language and oral communication is fine. Interestingly, a friend of mine who has taken mushrooms for years has developed a similar conditions where he has trouble getting a sentence together. He assures me that its temporary.

I think your user name may hold the key. I have experienced the same symptoms as you but have deduced their cause to be the use of wacky tobaccy. I believe studies have determined similar symptoms in association with the use of marijuana.
It could be one of many other things as well. Drugs affect everyone differently. Weed really messes w/ me. I feel the after glow of weed for about 24-36 hours after getting high. I don't know of anyone with that kind of sensitivity. So what I said before is from my experience. After thinking about it a bit more I don't doubt that your symptoms could be caused from the mushrooms. I know of people who black out on shrooms. I heard a story of a kid who ate 1.2 g of azures and passed out in mid air, hit his head and had a bleeding gash from it, he was convulsing on the floor afterward. This kid was lucky, he could have broken his neck. I know of another kid who passed out on LSD, he hit his head on concrete. He also convulsed. I was told that he now has one lazy eye from it (hitting his head). Drugs can be dangerous. Listen to your body with your heart and decide if they are OK for you and if you are using them properly.
