What household object could I burn through my plastic tub for a one inch hole on my monotub?

For the electric drill-less among us..
Heated up a 1/4in screwdriver for holes in a shotgun terrarium. Heated up a 4-inch circular coffee can for holes in a glove box.
I guess that leaves one thing.. what can I use to burn a one-inch hole for a monotub?
Anyone know of anything?

Maybe heat up a quarter on the stove, lay the tub on it's side with a bowl of water directly under where the hole is going to be, once the quarter is hot grab it with some pliers or something and place it on the tub where you want the hole....this is a horrible idea...nevermind. lol

Hmm.. no.
But actually I was just looking in my closet and found a hammer. I measured the striking face on the hammer and it's about 1 1/8in - 1 1/4in.

Just heat up a socket. Like one you would use for working on nuts and bolts.

Haha. A quarter is close, I just measured it. Came out to 1 7.5/8 inches. A bit to thin to work with though.

That might work. I don't have a socket though, I'd have to buy one.

Good idea. I don't have a bike where I'm living now though.

Maybe burn a circle with a soldering iron, no one ever said that the circles have to be perfect, at least I don't think so...

it doesnt have to be circle does it? just cut a square out with the same size hole. 1" square = 1" circle?
-------------------- LxWxH in inches then multiply .55 (the amount of fl oz in a square inch) then divide that number by 128 (the amount of fl oz in a gallon) to get an accurate amount of volume for the space.

A KNIFE. IT WORKS I DID IT LAST WEEK. HEAT IT UP AND CUT. DRAW YOUR CIRCLES FIRST. USE A ZIPPO OR A CANDLE.

Unscrew the gas supply line to the stove and use the end of it.

I'm with this guy on this one. Just grab an exacto knife and I suppose you could heat it up too just for ease.

Was doing some searches and found some more good suggestions
Quote:
Best way is to heat up a screw driver on your stove and pop holes around the "inside" of your drawn circle, then take it out witha knife.
Liike a poor mans soldering iron. works like a charm.
and this guy said
Quote:
I melt the wholes with a sandwich paste jar lid heated on the hob. Ive put a bolt through the lid to make it eassier to manipulate

man use a fucking knife LOL.
you will need: candle, zippo, or lighter Sharp knife
Heat up the tip of the knife and start to cut the outline of your circle.
you may have to keep heating your knife but your holes are not that big so it wont take that long.
trust me i was asking the same question and a knife is the best answer.
