At this point, let it run its course and harvest as the veils tare. They will start dropping spores when they are ready, no matter their size. The height of the mushrooms is probably due to a shallow substrate depth. Deeper sub equals bigger fruits. If your sub is nice and deep, then it might be a fae issue. At this point, harvest, enjoy, appreciate and learn. One love!

shit well back when I still grew cubes I did like 3 inches and still got very good sized fruits.

Is that monotub pics at the bottom of the first post the tub you are talking about?
There are alot of holes in the side. Could be a lack of humidity in there. with all those holes I could see moisture loss pretty easily.
you didn't put a casing on top did you? It also looks like its fruiting before fully colonized. There are a lot of spots that don't look completely white.
I'm gonna guess that your small fruit size stems more from lack of humidity and not being as colonized as it should be more than your substrate depth. I mean 2.5-3 inches should be able to produce fruits much larger than just 2 inches tall.
in that tub I linked it looks like there are lots of dry spots right in front of your fae holes. It really looks like your moisture is just getting wicked straight out of all those holes and not really creating a lot of humidity in the tub.

lack of humidity means stunt growth to me aswell as them ripping open. maybe too many holes in your mono ? isnt a mono meant to be left alone ?

Agreed. Monotubs should ideally remain sealed from the time of casing until harvest. For me, monotubs are so wonderful precisely because, once set up, they do not require daily misting and fanning. Although it can be very hard not to get overeager and open them up
