It is a bad idea. You need a proper air pump, or even better, a shotgun fc, which is mostly used nowadays, and the cleanest and easiest to make and to use.

I'm not good in Fahrenheits but I think it's around 80-85 after what it starts getting too warm.

Heating the inside of the tub is indeed not a good idea.
In addition you'd warm up the water and provide excellent conditions for bacterial growth.

Just rinse the water. Shouldn't be too hard.

Temps in the mid 70ies are best.

Like my favourite lady said it's a bad idea. If you heat directly your FC you are going to lower RH.

ok one more question

Why is it a bad idea?  (already answered thanks)

my fc is a really downgraded version of the shotgun terrarium

has holes and perlite in a clear container but not many holes(prolly has bad air circulation)

its a cut in half iced tea bottle with a clear CD spool cover as the top

also ive been brusing the hell out of my cake so i dont want to drain the awter cause theres no way to do it without bangin up my cake more

i swear this thing has been a day away from pins for like weeks now :frown:

You should defnitely think about investing like 20 dollars on a real shotgun FC.

Do you know the reason of the bruising? Rough handling?

Provide as much FAE as possible without lowering the RH in your... "growing facility". Mist thoroughly and be patient.

That's pretty much all you can do about it. Good luck!
