i dont think the brand would make much of a difference, i been dealing with fish for years and i just by any brand but it has to be at least 100watts to be able to handle the workload, and if i drop em i can replace the glass for 1$ so its no biggie really. i say goto petmart or petco and get urself the cheapest fully submersible 100 watt heater. its for an incubator right?

I have not had any problems with both of mine (one for incubator, one for terrarium). As long as you buy one from a reputable pet supply store, you'll be fine. Make sure you read the back, label, etc....

Indestructible Titanium heaters work well... and they have external temperature control.
