Case or not?
    #1203884 - 01/09/03 12:01 PM (15 years, 4 months ago)

My friend has three half pint cakes in a grow chamber. They've been there for over 20 days. He believes the humidity was too low, hence the reason the cakes havent began to pin. My friend recently removed the cakes from the lids and placed them on the perlite in his grow chamber. The cakes have since began to lose their blue tint and have begun to grow white cottony myc. So his question is, can he take these three cakes and case them, or would it not be worth it and leave em be since why they've been out for so long? fyi, my friend birthed these cakes before he found the miracle of casing, he had six cakes all together cased three left three out, even after recol the casing still produced before the cakes, and im sure more pins..... thats why he wants to case em now.

If they're growing white and fluffy, you probably just need to keep up the air exchange (fanning or whatever you do) and give them light 12 on/12 off, and make sure your humdity is high enough.
I would probably leave them if they're this far along, but you can case as long as you're sure there's no pins.

Good luck,
Jim
