okay so i searched and found like 500 different posts of some saying you dont need to let it rehydrate long, some say you can use the syringe instantly, some say you have to wait, and some say the spores are so small they absorb all they can with in seconds
need some TC's here to tell me what is the truth! lol

I'm no TC, but I've read a bit. If the print you made the syringe from is a month or more old, let it sit for several days to rehydrate. Patience is the biggest virtue in this hobby and pays off in the end.

Well, i'm not a TC but I can't imagine it would take that long for a spore to soak up the water that it's going to. From the time it takes you to make your syringe to the time it takes you to clean your work area, and smoke a bowl they will be hydrated.

But isn't it getting squirted into a moist environment anyways

Spores, it seems, have extremely dense walls and rehydration off an old print can indeed be an issue. Even though they are microscopic, it will take more than a few minutes for the spores to absorb water. I've even seen teks proposed to pressurize a syringe to speed the process. It's not a big deal. If your print is a few months old or more, just let the syringe you make rest awhile.

That's true, but the idea is to give the myc a head start against any contamination. If you are delayed by up to a week by dry spores, that can't be good.
