mycelium turning grey, dying or cobweb?
    #12032848 - 02/15/10 09:56 AM (14 years, 10 months ago)

I've looked everywhere to help me out with this but I can't relate any other posts to this.  I don't think it's cobweb b/c it's like the actual mycelium turning brown/grey.  I read some other posts it might be dying?  Or it might be contam?  I don't know.  My first casing and I can't figure it out and need some help.  FC hovers around 80-90% rh.  pretty decent air exchange, shotgun terrarium.

Well the contamination forum would be an appropriate place for this, but I'll take a stab at it.

The middle pic has a suspicious patch left to center. Those should not be in fruiting conditions yet as they're not fully colonized. Cobweb spreads so much faster than myc so if it's not spreading like wildfire it may be myc drying out. Mist a few times, cover with foil for a week, put back in FC at 100% colonization.
