Bullshit! I joined the army with a GED maybe the air force or coast guard doesn't. The army would be in trouble if they didnt accept GED anymore. Maybe you wont get the job you want but they still accept people with GED's its called front line infantry

not bull shit. they only accept a certain percentage each year. as of now the navy or the army will not accept GED's unless you have 15 college credits.

hm...that's weird. i never thought the army would refuse to send people into the meatgrinder for education.
maybe you should just take the 15 college credits. if you get it at a community college it shouldn't be very expensive (maybe $1000) and that's only one quarter.

To get a High School diploma, you have to complete High School. So unless you enroll in High School again, you're shit out of luck.
I've known at least 6 people that have joined the military with a GED. Why the fuck are you having problems with it?

So why don't you just leave it to the young people that don't give a shit if they risk their lives for the agendas of rich people?

I always thought a GED was equivalent to a H.S. Diploma? Every Job I ever took asked 'High School Diploma OR High School Equivalency(GED)' and these were pretty decent jobs. 30-45k a year jobs.
I have my H.S. Diploma, but ooh man, would I love to go back to High School for another year. I'm sure I'd end up in Jail for having sex with 17 year old Cheerleaders... even though we're only 10 years apart and come on, 17 year old girls are big girls... but hey, when I'm in Jail thinking about it, I'd just smile and say "Fucking worth every day in here"

This is silly but ill answer this anyways. Because these people could be my/youre friends and family. How would you feel if you had a friend or family member get killed over there. And for what? "Protecting" this fine country of ours?? Come on man.

I have had a friend and a family member get killed over there. But I made my piece by rationalizing that it was their choice to join the military and whatever that choice brought with it. It still sucks that they are gone, but they joined the military for one reason. To kill. And killing is risky business.
This isn't an involuntary conscription like the old days. These people have a choice to join the military, and with that they accept the risks and the rewards of serving.

That's fine but it does not mean I have to agree with their choice or agree with the armed forces in general. This is obviously my opinion but my opinion does not make me wrong.

sure, i may not agree with the current direction of the military either but i sure wouldn't go as far as to say its worthless. a military is necessary, if we didn't have one youd either be dead or fighting for your life. i wish things could be peaceful too, but humans just aren't ready for that yet. things that are necessary for survival, aren't completely worthless. in my opinion at least.
