The longer I stare at one side.
The more I know of the other.
Getting upset at cruelty.
I don't know why I bother.
No singularity exists.
War without peace.
Love without hate.
Action without fate.
This is what it's all about.
Never to be stationary.
Not to be confused with complacency.
Realising Ying is Yang's clout.
We been pushed from the Centre point of the pendulum.
Occasionally meeting in the middle.
Telling each others experiences but always in riddle.
Experiencing other with each and every tick.
If one side is healthy.
The other must be sick.
So it would seem that to wish away the evil.
To know what's on the other side.
Would leave us caught in the middle.
With no subjectivity to imbibe.

A Game of Chess
How I wish we could appeal
To some real White Queen
Oh how I wish we were able to steal
From God a new scene
But affairs are not so unreal
Nature is having her say
She is not just sending a peal
Things are a bit serious today
Liken it to a game
An unfriendly game of chess
We are masters only in name
Unappreciated goes our excess
Dear Mother allows us to think
That we are moving the pieces
While reality is more of a kink --
We ourselves are the pieces
Man being played like violins
Moving blind down tracks
We are not laying with violence
Our slaves exposing the cracks
It's a risky gambit
Nature could easily lose
But just as like it as dammit
She is the only possible winner

Used the board as a discussion point the other day.
Thinking about the pieces perspectives.
What's motivating structured play.
If left to their own directives.
With no sense of purpose, no guiding hand.
The games would be pointless and ultimately bland.
Given a frame work to operate in, willingly manipulated.
No promise of conclusion means effort capitulated.
So on they move, pretending to be in control.
Sold on the promise of an ultimate goal.
Now perhaps we aren't all that different.
Both we and the pieces deliberately ignorant.
As we look down on the board as only a player may.
We see what really defines the stakes at play.
Seeing that it's nothing without the possibility of the killer blow.
A winner and a loser and some way to know.
It then went on to a change in perspectives.
Imagine the pieces were to see the hands directives.
If both the player and the played were to look in the eye.
Would it mean the game would die.
To see the rules scribbled on some note.
To see the scotch and the drunkards who wrote.
To understand that this life or death struggle.
Was really just a repetitive black and white bubble.
It may be best and necessary for dimensions to exist.
Because we like the game and will not desist.
If the pieces knew they might not come back.
And with still more games to play, that would be crap.

in this infinite matrix we can't perceive
concepts war -- war in the fire of our guts
from the inculcation away from finite reality
through misery and suffering, hope fends for fear
desperation in the slaughter
with man running from the guilt and pleasure of it all
while we think, 'there I stand', we recede and fall
but this hold keeps us spinning
as space and time folds, forever bound
like a disciplined cross-hatched weave

They call it Monument Valley
Glory formations, desert beside
Spires impossible to tally
Developing skyward, an infinite finity
Beauty, boundless desolation
The towers bring an ingress of serenity
The Three Sisters a holy formation
A gift from the Creator, the natives believe
And I cannot but give my assent
Leaving this place is a bit to bereave
A various form of descent
Moccasin Arch, base purple sage
Snakewood and Cliffrose abundant
The Anasazi are a hard bunch to gauge
Not a molecule of this place is redundant
The Bear and the Rabbit, on the horizon
Sandstone all over the place
And red sand and some green that the shepherd relies on
A sturdy and meaningful race
Return to the Hogan, get a night's rest
A beginning of time, but no end
A way of life to this day that's the best
A sacredness God only could send

Cakes and Potions
What did Alice eat again?
What ate her good maker?
"Eat me" cake, she ate it, sure
Where then did it take her?
Higher! Yes, right, higher still
But not in ways profane
She grew in stature, not in high
The creator did not deign
And now today, we eat cake too
But it's not so innocent
Proliferation of cake's taboo
But it seems to be Heaven-sent
For just that reason, we should try
To limit its abuses
Responsible parties, seeking the truth
Are those for whom it has uses
Shamans, monks -- what you will
A more refined approach
Must surround such cakes and potions
The reckless must not encroach
We might have saved ourselves
A headache, a ban or two
But heady days they surely were
What else was there to do?
Always be sure after eating cake
To drink the 'drink me' potion
So you come back down to Earth again
And give no one a notion

I pledge allegiance to a flag
A colored piece of cloth
Those dear patriots, how they nag
When your fervency grows soft

Are living paycheck to paycheck
And the portion of poor, we'd like to disown
To help no one sticks out his neck
Every man for himself! we cry
This is really how people feel
It is no wonder that, by and by
Some people are forced to steal
Taking care of our own

When our country has grown
Perhaps we'll see through

Halfway between infinite and finite.
Some thought but mostly sight.
The cog on the clock at the base of the hand.
Seems like it might be first to understand.
A spot in a sphere looked at in 2d.
Will change its time as you will see.
If you give it an extra dimension much like awareness .
The 2d world could never understand no matter the persistance.
Whilst we are in the middle and seemingly moving.
The sphere dances in step.
The trickiest illusion constantly soothing.
With acceptance we become adept.
If thinking about finite your dealing with infinite.
And the opposite is true.
Prove either beyond a doubt.
I'll be impressed if you do.

Floating and hoping, mad angrily
lost in the waters of some dark barren sea..
Shit fuck god damn it, I'm swearing you see!
I only left to seek reasons behind whats really me.
But soon it got dark and hella cloudy,
monsoon style winds began raining loudly.
Now lost in deep water
I don't know what happened,
I'm really here-now and
It's super confusing because I was on the ground.
A whirlpool later and my life turns around.
It's all clearing up and the waters recede
All is not lost!
An adventure indeed.

The fabric of it all, stitched with now and moved by the winds of us.
Unique similarities underpin the seemingly random as the flag flutters.
Some see the wind.
Some see the flag.
Some are both.
Ability to dissect and portion out machinations.
The double edge sword.
Painfully endless, pointless iterations.
Joyfully conclusive, needed exaltations.
A random system that's quite contrived.
All know this deep inside.
Behind the masks in front of our eyes.
Placed with care and set with lies.
Instead of chasing a faster beam.
You can compile the info you have seen.
Accepting that whilst a moment seems frustratingly fleeting.
The system is set to keep it repeating.
They use their knowledge in many markets.
The to and the fro.
They need you to think there's no way to know.
Our ignorance clouds the sun in their pockets.
Few have the choice to play or be played.
