Sitting on a lawnchair at some retirement home Huffing gasoline out of an old Snapple bottle And it made sense Because nothing has made sense
The old women are waving to me as they drive by Brave one says its too hot to be working outside today I nod and attempt eloquence but land in cognitive deficiency "Hot!" Is all I manage
Caught the groundskeeper peeking over at me from the toolshed He must think I'm here to cause trouble Another junkie laborer from out of town ready to bust into Green Gardens and steal Percocet from putrid elders He waves. The brain tells its head to nod and it does
*hhhffffffff* Feels like I'm on a beach Maybe the toolshed lurker was right, maybe I am only here to pilfer weak painkillers and scare the elderly Maybe it's subconsciously the reason I started learning masonry
All that work *hhhffffffff* Leads to this exact moment So I can bust in on someones mothers mother playing Parcheesi Flip her out the window and down whatever's behind the bathroom mirror with a shot of Listerine
Black out, strip naked, and run around the grounds with a pair of hedge trimmers Cutting all the flower tops and rubbing them on my face *hhhfffffffff* I should probably seek help

Oh brother why have you gone? You've been absent for far too long
You must be dizzy up there Hear there isn't much air So I'll spare you the breadth Let's move on
They say you scaled that old tall rocky cliff A test if I've seen one Poor footing No width
A peak some four thousand and forty feet high
Winds gust below zero Poor odds to survive
We all thought you were dead Have you died?
Your ravenous thirst For those icy gray brinks Must outweigh us below What an awfully tall drink
Though this correspondence It's shoddy and slow We've a channel at least Communication You know?
I'd just like to hear that you're happy and warm Though I do wish to see you that wishing has worn
Come down when you're ready Dear brother of frost Though family grows old Its love tolls no cost
Pen back soon pal stay safe for my sake It's a shame you're not here fourth year missed your cake
And If not for yourself or some climbing mistake Please come down for our sake please come down for our sake

The Percocet Wizard
City to city, without leaving town Thumb held in the air, Head hung tamely down With a tattered raincoat - partly gray, mostly brown
smoking butts of smoked butts, feet planted in grass Second hand squared, the guys a modern day ass Fishing, no license, bad lure: "I need gas"
Familiar machine rumbles up, it's a van Toxic tar drips, painting black asphalt tan He takes notice, perks up, we catch sight of our man
The elder at wheel takes great pride in her job Fetching dirty old spells for our magical slob She is paid, he's fulfilled, toward his perch he then bobs
In his head two old hands, with tire, applaud The folks all will laugh, yet his head will just nod The Wizard, supplied, fears not Lord nor God
With only a wink, and an old broken smile He puts down his thumb and gets in his car He'll drive somewhere near, no need to go far Shooting miles unguided on an idling star

I used to draw birds But now I draw blood And shoot it back inwards I've become a quite dud
Where once I liked Legos And painting and plots Now I like matchsticks Old spoons and blood clots
My girl thinks I'll pass From some foolish mistake Yet I simply dream Of relief from this ache

You can tell how well you're doing By the needle
As it tips and plunges, and rises When you're loaded
When it's low so are spirits And cash follows suit
When it's high youre supplied You can drive many miles on a full tank of gas

Cold lighting, Fluorescence Kind that makes your skin crawl The light of dentists, hot white against dim Tart like cough medicine, hits the skin
Our existence a low wave Long band, electric inefficient My brain spins and reels its inhibitions Thoughts a damp and rotting mass, no ignition
Trading life for labor In a world where HR is mostly machine The beast spins on, gears forever churning No spoils in a world that insists on its turning

Against science for the sake of science
You bark quite a lot Boy you sure pen a' plenty Yet your tongue twists in knots Want two of my pennies?
If your mind is a rot Thoughts sticking together Then talk you should not Why not wait for fair weather?
For science is fickle And words deserve play But id pay you a nickle To shut up for a day

My mother would leave me Notes in which there would be Directions
Some work for my lazy ass And later good food to compensate Theyd say things like "vacuum"
But the floors were always Spotless I asked her about this
She just said That anything to keep me out of the city Would do

Frightening dream last night An ass-faced man Emaciated and pale Was swimming in a waterfalls pool
But not only was he swimming He was drowning Repeatedly and without appearant reason sucked into the water while others floated effortlessly
It wasnt until I saw beneath the water That the viscious stone cherubs With hell in their eyes Were seen pulling our boy under
I woke up in a fright Realizing the significance of the struggling boy I checked my bank account this morning And lost my car keys

Growing pains
It started as splinters And pinches and pricks Now that im older It lingers and sticks
This pain in my head The void in my heart Have rendered me frozen Penniless, parched
You may think it foolish You may find it bleak But poison is power Though power makes weak

Rambling of a poor boy in Pennsylvania
To achieve the state With no pain and no fight To die, not irate But to lie in delight
Oh what a sad plight! Too docile to fight My heroine in heroin Has lightened the night
But the sun of tomorow bleeds red For the thoughts in my head Will spin and toss A cyclone unyielding this circular dread

Broke-jaw Jones
Met a man named Broke-jaw Jones In a tired winter moor
His skin was sour, and eyes sunk back With mannerisms poor
Jones stared me up and sized me down Let out a wheezing hiss
Jaw gave way, few words fell out Picked em up as this:
"Take these talcum treasures kid Then go and use them well No "if you dont"'s Or "no i wont"'s The boss will give me hell"
I looked up and shook my head, took his powdered plea Though jones flew south n robbed me blind Tomorow, I will see.

Scrapping the 2000 Ford Taurus
You brought me to Buffalo You brought me to Erie You brought me to heroin Go fuck yourself
You brought me to beggers You brought me to saints You brought me to gamestop Go fuck yourself
You brought me to Rochester Pawn stores and Wallgreens You brought me to therapy Go fuck yourself
You rusty son of a bitch I will miss you and that hair-pin gas pedal Or the hiding spot under the dash Go fuck yourself
Turn your body to bones And bones into cash You stole so much from me Go fuck yourself
