They look good and with the plastic lid you can do microwave sterilization. Use a nail heated with a flame to burn holes for innoculation.

i?m not used to the "pint" mesurings.. but this jars can hold about 350 ml of water. are they to big?

They will work fine. They are just slightly larger than 1/2 pint. Just watch the plastic lids. They sometimes shrink when heated.
