car exhaust in my tubs... will it be ok?

ok, so my p.o. came over the other day so i cleaned everything out of my room (all was neglected for a bit and done fruiting anyway) and i took my 2 shotguns out to the garage to sit behind the mustang out of plain sight and out of my room, they were just filled with perlite, waiting for more cakes and pans. but id left them out in the garage for about 2 days, and one day when i got home my pops(not the brightest man) had the mustang running with just the people door open. id opened the front door, a fair ways from the garage, and smelled car exhaust pretty strongly, when i moved to the kitchen, which is connected to the garage, the amount of exhaust was unbearable, so my empty shotguns have sat out in that. if i bring them back in and let them rewarm and sit for a day or 2 is there going to be issues with contamination of anything i put in there?
thanks for the help guys

I'm not sure if any permanent damage could have been done by that. At the most some gasoline residue or heavy metals have settled on the case or in the perlite. I'm sure a good rinse is all you need but otherwise they are fine.
Is that you in your signature?

well i would clean the whole FC just because it was out in the garage... you can bake the perlite to kill off any bacteria/mold and wash the tub out with bleach water.
