will ants go for a monotub?

I'm curious if ants will go for a monotub? Have an ant problem at home, and these little suckers are tenacious. They'll even to for toothpaste. Should I be worried? Thanks guys

you should clean your house before you start trying to do something involving strict sterilisation procedures

I don't think so either, but if they do maybe sprinkle a line of diatomaceous earth around the base of the tub on the outside.

I'm worried about ants too. They come into our home no matter how clean it is to try and get water out our fish tank, I've even found them trying to nest under the fish tank lid. So I'm trying to figure what to do to keep em out. When I did a honey LC and stored it in my closet they even went after that. I imagine they could easily introduce contams, those fuckers crawl around on garbage and rotting food and they shit everywhere, so it's not looking good if ants are running around in your home. So far though I haven't noticed them going after my shotgun with cakes in it, next step though is straw and wbs, I'm thinking they'll see a humid bed of straw as a perfect nesting place.

Well maybe you should call in an exterminator and/or deal with your ant problem...

Great idea. Way to go for you! You solved all of my problems. Let me spray my home with toxic deadly chemicals that will be here for me and my family to live with for years on end.
Good advice, very good, thank you. I don't know why I did not think of this before. I guess that's why I joined this forum, so I could get expert advice from douche's like you who have done their research and have asked all the questions necessary.
So thank you once again because I am a retard and you have shown me the way.
Really, is this the kind of crap we come on here for?
Come on fuckers, get your shit straight or get out.

Dude, chill the fuck out, he was trying to be facetious and get a rise out of you...which he did, so congrats on reversing the douche-baggery unto yourself
Also, let us know if your ants start trippin' out and you see them running in funny patterns, or taking home things they don't need, or getting their ant buddies to baby-sit them...
All it would take to reverse your ant problem, is a quick trip to home depot for indoor ant protection products, which work well and don't leave CRAZY EVIL CHEMICALS LAYING AROUND, OH MY!

Wow dude I didn't think you were THAT stupid, but way to prove me wrong. I am sorry that you're so hypersensitive that you can't take advice. I'm also sorry that you're in the wrong forum, posting the wrong things, if you're not looking for advice. Ants are in your house for a reason, they aren't just there because it's the cool place to be. No seriously, it's not a cool place to be. But likely you've got something lying around they're feeding on, or maybe they've just built such a wonderful nest in a warm house where nobody will put out some insecticide to kill them. Or maybe you should find a different forum where you can get real EXPERT ADVICE (OMG) on getting rid of ants in your house. The mushrooms getting eaten by ants are not your problem. The ants are your problem, so quit being dirty, clean up all those crumbs nastifying your couch, carpet, behind and under your fridge and stove, and deal with your problem. The ants aren't spiteful and hoping to ruin your grow, they are doing what's natural.
tl;dr You're dirty and stupid, why are you even growing mushrooms?

Thanks for the shroom rating. And to the valley guy, try not to be so upset. Even if you feel lie someone is stepping on your toes, I have had of happen to me before and I just let it go. I'm a complete newbie slug and don't make any excuses for that, and some things that are common sense to the more experienced growers are just us learning the ropes and tricks of the trade. Also, the black face avatar had me laughing a bit, too Oh, yesterday I spent about 4 hours killing ants tracking them arpub the hoist with a bottle of Lysol and a rag, and they seen to have gotten the point and not really come back. Thanks for the replies, everyone.
