Storing truffles (sclerotia; ATL #7)... Questions...

Hey folks,
My sclerotia grown is just about finished. I am about a week and a half away from my 2 month mark. I plan on opening one jar at 2 months and opening the others at around 3-4 months for a comparison.
Is there anyway to store truffles fresh? Could I store them by vacuum sealing and placing them in the fridge? I would like for them to keep a couple weeks this way if possible. I would prefer not to dry out these truffles. I have heard that freezing them will diminish potency. What do you guys think? I am not looking for long term storage, just a few weeks if possible.

Vac pack and in fridge is probably the best way to store fresh.

And/or paper bag in fridge. Either way, wash them and then air dry them until they are dry to the touch.

Wash them... fuck that shit, use a soft toothbrush.
Fuck paper bags too the stones will dry out, small plastic tub with lids work for me but if you can get vac pack then youre sorted.

How long can you keep them fresh this way?
I can't wait to try them!

Should I harvest 2 months from inoculation or from the beginning stages of stone formation?

I'd be worried about mold. But that's in my refrigerator- yours may be better.

My mates got some in his fridge from August 09 and last time i was there, a week or so a go, they looked, smelled and tasted fine. There was a bit of condensation on the lid of the box but minor. They will last for a long time, however i dont know if potency is affected for such long times in the fridge.
You could leave the jar unopened and harvest when you want to take them.
The fridge I keep my masters in is TITS.

What about storing them in honey? That also works fine.
