So originally a few days ago i made a post with a few pictures of some F+ jars colonizing strangely...We determined the grains were to wet from the pictures and that they were doomed

Well i decided to hold onto them for a few more days...When i looked this morning i found little pins forming in one of the jars and lots of knotting

I thought these jars were contaminated and was ready to toss them...Now my question is since this is my first time using wbs what should i do with the quart that already has pins? Can i spawn it with the the other 3 that have not started pinning?
Any ideas to what caused this? The mycl. looks really unhealthy but mushrooms are growing fine.
What are my options for the one quart jar that has pins?
Also i have one more question.
I have palletized gyspum, when mixing my C/C/V when should i add the gypsum?
Ive read about not having to crush up the pellets but ive also read about if you add the gypsum at the wrong time when mixing the C/C/V it will clump up
Can someone clarify this for me
Thank you for the help everyone

You might want to use two quarts of spawn for the recipe you mentioned. The ratio would be too high if you only used 1 quart and the risk of contaminants will be high.

They definitely look a little suspect with those uncolonized areas and that amount of metabolites.
Give the each jar the smell test after you shake them for spawning. If they smell like anything else than fresh and mushroomy, I wouldn't use them.

those pins in the jar are starting to get bigger...What can i do with the one jar? I'm not really familiar with any grows that you can use one quart of spawn with...

Your jars look really healthy to me...minus the fact that its a little too wet in there
Just leave them in there a couple of more days, and spawn or whatever you were planning on doing

Use minute amounts of gypsum. If I were you I'd substitute some of your verm (not all) for composted cow manure. You'll thank me.

Composted manure smells nothing like it reads. It smells like very rich soil.

Thats good to know...Ill try this with my next grow but for now ill keep my original plan since im so close to the next step...
What do you think caused the jar to start producing mushrooms already? Its been at a constant 73-75 minimal light if any and just finished colonizing
